Raquel J. Poole

Belchertown- Raquel J. Poole, 30, passed away unexpectedly on August 1, 2021. Born February 24, 1991 in Northampton, she was the daughter of Tracey L. (Merriman) Poole and Kenneth A. Poole. Raquel grew up in Belchertown and Chicopee and attended Chicopee schools. She worked as a personal care attendant and also as a waitress at Little George's in W. Springfield for many years. For the past few years, she worked alongside her father at Contemporary Siding and Window. Raquel loved to fish and spend time in her garden. Her artistic traits could also be seen in her paintings. She was a hard worker and loved being a mother. Raquel will be dearly missed by her mother, Tracey Poole and her spouse Todd Spindler of W. Springfield and her father, Kenneth A. Poole, with whom Raquel lived. She also leaves her two children, Maddison Poole (6) of Belchertown and Luke Torrey (2) of Ludlow. Her brother, Kenneth A. Brouillette, her paternal grandmother, Joan Poole and maternal grandfather Robert and Nancy Merriman as well as extended family also survive her. Her memory will be shared during a visitation on Saturday, August 14th from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home with a service to begin at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in her memory to either Honest Beginnings at PO BOX 3699 Amherst, MA 01004 or to Swift River Preservation Association, ATTN: Carla Chaisson, 183 River Rd.
