Robert John Ruehlmann

Robert “Rob” John Ruehlmann, 69 years old, of Lexington, SC went to be with the Lord on February 23, 2022. Born on January 1, 1953 in Cincinnati, OH to John and Muriel Ruehlmann, he is survived by his significant other of 30 years - Debbie Yandle; his children - Chris, Matt & Paul Ruehlmann and Becky Kennedy; the mother of his children – Mary Ann Ruehlmann; 7 grandchildren; 3 siblings - Ron Ruehlmann, Lea Mainer, and Lynn Besl; and 8 puppy “children”. He will be forever missed and remembered as a loving father and grandfather who had a special place in his heart for animals, including the many dogs that he adopted over the years. He was always willing to help a neighbor or be a listening ear to talk to. Rob attended the University of Cincinnati and worked his entire career in the insurance industry. He loved watching the Rose Bowl Parade every year on his birthday. He truly enjoyed cooking, especially grilling, and was an amazing cook. He will be remembered for many great meals, but especially for his food concoctions such as sour cream and horseradish chip dip, and his cracker, ketchup, and cheese combinations. Gone but not forgotten, we will forever be thankful for the treasured memories that we hold in our hearts. A celebration of life will be held for family and friends at Folly Beach, SC on Saturday March 12th.
