Pelham-Barbara A. (Goodhind) Stockwell, 80, passed away unexpectedly on November 9, 2022 with the love of her family surrounding her. Born in Northampton on May 31, 1942, she was the daughter of John R. and Marion (Gralinski) Goodhind. Barbara grew up and lived in Amherst for many years until moving to Pelham 25 years ago. She was a LPN at Cooley Dickinson Hospital along with working for many years at Northampton Area Pediatrics. Barbara loved the outdoors, whether it was traveling and camping with her family, tending to her gardens or fishing, and of course feeding and watching her backyard birds. Her greatest passion was her family and love of her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by the love of her life, her husband of 62 years, Charles T. "Tom" Stockwell, as well as their children, Kathleen Stockwell and her boyfriend, Roland Fong of Nashua, NH, Alan Stockwell and his girlfriend, Stacey Kastner of Belchertown, and Julie Bilyak and her husband William of Willington, CT. Gramma, as she was lovingly called, will also forever remain with her grandchildren, Alexis and Kelli Stockwell, Taylor and Kyle Bilyak, Connor Farwell and "bonus" grandchildren, Amanda, Timothy and Jonathan. Barbara also leaves her sister, Terry Goodhind of Belchertown, beloved nieces and nephews, and too many friends to mention. She will also be sorely missed by her grandpuppies, Tanner, Luna, Finn and Gracie. Besides her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her other siblings, Michael Goodhind and Kathleen Picotte. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 16th from 10:30-12:30 p.m. with a service to begin at 12:30 p.m. in the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
