John Richard Benjamin

Ware- John Richard Benjamin, 86, passed away January 8, 2023. He was born on January 5, 1937 in Cambridge to the late Richard Benjamin and Alberta Lafountain. John worked for many years at Rexam before his retirement and later became a driver for Humes Transportaion. John loved his family dearly and enjoyed watching all of his nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, playing sports and always made sure to attend their games. Besides his parents, John was preceded in death by his loving wife Rita (Zajchowski) Benjamin in 2005, and his siblings, Anna Emerson, Stella Ploof, and Francis Benjamin. He will be dearly missed by his son, Donald Benjamin and wife Linda, of Deltona, FL; daughter, Debi Huddleston and husband Roger, of Acton, ME; siblings, Josie Tomala of Westfield, MA, Clara Willard of Brattleboro, VT, Jospeh Benjamin of CT, and Lois Tracey of VT; nephews, Greg Godard and wife Karen of Granby, MA, Doug Godard of Wales, MA, and Wally and Timothy Tomala, both of Westfield; as well as many extended family and friends. Services will be held privately and at the family's convenience. In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory can to be a Cancer Foundation of your choice.
