Beverly Ann Berry
October 21st, 1940 - May 3rd, 2023
Belchertown- Beverly Ann Berry, 82, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2023. She was born on October 21, 1940 in Northampton to the late Arthur and Jeannette (Latour) LaCasse, and spent her formative years in Haydenville and Williamsburg. Beverly began a career as a homemaker and dedicated her time to raising her two young children. Several years later, she began working at Crystal Springs Dairy Bar and later became a care provider at the Belchertown State School for many years before transferring to Monson Developmental Center from which she retired. Beverly enjoyed playing games on her Kindle, reading, and doing puzzles. More than anything else, she enjoyed every moment she could spend with her family. She was the Matriarch of the family and played a large role in raising 4 generations filled with love, kindness, and respect. If anyone was ever in need, they knew "Mimi" would always be there to help in every way possible. She will be truly missed. Besides her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her siblings, Arthur LaCasse, Frank LaCasse, Barbara Dugal, and Alice Fay. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia A. Lamacchia (Manny); son, James F. Bachand (Kerry, Anthony Smith, Ciara Smith); granddaughter, Heather Newman (Chris); grandson, Peter Lamacchia; grandchildren, Damon, Benjamin, and Jessica Bachand, and their mom Erika Bachand (Matthew Gay); great-grandchildren, Brooke and Zakary Lamacchia, and their mom, Erica Stewart; sister, Loretta Kolosewicz; dear friend, Nancy Bachand, her husband Bernie and their daughter, Patsy; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 11 from 4:00-6:15pm with a service to begin at 6:15pm at the Beers & Story Belchertown funeral home. Burial will be held at the family's convenience. In lieu of flowers, donations in Beverly's memory can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital by visiting stjude.org.
