Nina Mae Culler Tucker Cooper
May 23rd, 1933 - July 5th, 2023
Nina Mae Culler Tucker Cooper was born on March 23, 1933, and went home to be with Jesus peacefully on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Brian Center Nursing Care in Columbia, SC after a brief illness. Nina was born in Boone, NC. She moved to Aberdeen NC in 1983 where she worked at John’s BBQ for 18 years. She moved to Gaston, SC with her husband in 2017. She is survived by her children, Pamela Tucker Moretz and husband, Carter of Boone, NC and grandchildren, Eric, Angie and Brandi; Tina Cooper and partner, Pete Rodriguez of Summerville, SC and grandchildren, Jacob and Ashton; Jeffrey Cooper and wife Janet of Killeen, TX; Susan Cooper Clark of Prattville, Alabama and grandchildren, Jason, Joshua, Jerod, and Jennifer; a multitude of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other extended family members. She is also survived by a sister, Jimma Lou Hodges of Boone NC, stepsister, Jean Hester and husband, Sonny, and stepbrother, Lee Culler. She is preceded in death by her parents, James Culler and Mary Miller Culler Turner; stepmother, Wanda Culler; husband, Arnold Cooper; son, James Tucker, two sisters, Armolee Miller Greene and Lana Winebarger King; a brother, Robbie Turner. She is also preceded in death by her first husband, Billy Tucker. Her first love was Jesus Christ and then her husband and family. She was very active in church most of her life. She also sang in church often. Services will be held at a later date at Mount Lawn Cemetery in Boone, NC. South Carolina Cremation Society is assisting the family.
