Rene Joseph Bronner

Belchertown - Rene J. Bronner, 71, passed away Dec. 27, 2023, at Mercy Medical Center. He was born on February 14, 1952, in Holyoke, MA to the late Rene A. and Alice (Berube) Bronner of Granby. Rene grew up in Granby and has lived in Belchertown for most of his life. He worked at Major Wire Co. in Chicopee for 20 years and retired in 2016, as a truck driver for FedEx after working for over 10 years. Rene loved to golf and bowl and was an avid New England sports fan. He adored his role of Pepere and cherished the time spent with his grandchildren. Besides his mother, Alice, he is survived by his wife Pamela (Fernandes) Bronner, and their 3 children, Sara Grenier (Andrew), Josh Bronner (Ali) and Alyssa Williams (Leo). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Owen, Elliot and Noah Grenier, Zoe Bronner, Janaya, Jehvon and Emmett Williams, two brothers, Alan and Lenny Bronner as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Bronner. Calling hours will be held on Wed., Jan. 3, 2024, at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home from 4:00pm-6:00pm followed by a closing prayer service at 6: 00pm.The burial will be private.
