Steven Michael Sharpe

Steven Michael Sharpe, 68, of Lexington, SC entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 in the comfort of his home. He was born in Lexington, SC on May 6, 1955, to the late Ester Owens Sharpe, Jr. and Frances Keefe Sharpe. Mike graduated from Lexington High School in 1973, played football and drove the school bus during his high school years. After graduation, he served in the Reserve Army National Guard from 1980 to 1987. Mike loved spending time with his family especially his children and grandchildren, having family get togethers for holidays, birthdays or just to be together. Mike enjoyed fishing, gardening, building, watching football - he loved his Clemson Tigers, cooking and baking. He was a very thoughtful man, always taking food to his neighbors, lending a helping hand to fix things, and spoiling his grandchildren with lemonade and cookies when they came to visit. Mike was a very hard worker and retired from Michelin in 2017 after 35+ years of dedicated service. He is survived by his children, Stephenie Sharpe Lewis (Michael), Sarah Cecil Sharpe, Suzette Ruth Sharpe, and David Derrick Sharpe, his grandchildren Skyler Derrick Lewis, Sawyer Debra Lewis, Stanley Christopher Sharpe, Stefan Jesus Sharpe, and Steven Javier Sharpe. He is also survived by his brothers David Allen Sharpe, Phillip Owen Sharpe, and sister Rebecca Anne Sharpe Poole, and predeceased brother Mark Anthony Sharpe with many cousins, nieces, and nephews. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 3:00 pm at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lexington, SC where Mike was a church member.
