Diane L Niemiro

Brimfield-Diane L. (Demers) Niemiro, 68, passed away suddenly August 23, 2020. Born August 14, 1952 in Springfield, MA, she was the daughter of Raymond and Ursule (Biron) Demers. Diane grew up in Springfield and lived in Sixteen Acres before moving to Brimfield 30 years ago. For 30 years, she worked as a social worker at the Springfield Welfare Office. Diane was very crafty and loved the outdoors. From taking pictures of flowers and butterflies, gardening and feeding birds, her talents also extended to cooking. She loved to make things to give gifts to others, whether it be wreaths, terrariums, or something special from Pinterest. Diane's charitable heart and kind spirit will be remembered by all. She is survived by her husband, Martin S., and their children, Michael of Indian Orchard, Nicolas of Brimfield, and Matthew of Brimfield along with three granddaughters, Gianna, Amaya, and Ashlyn. Diane also leaves her siblings, Louise Stearns of Feeding Hills and Dennis Demers of Stafford Springs, CT. Visitation will be Thursday, August 27th from 11:00-12:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass and burial at MA Veterans' Memorial cemetery will be privately held due to current Covid-19 regulations.
