Mary Jane Fuller
October 19th, 1931 - March 28th, 2024
Mary Jane Fuller, 92, of Lexington, SC, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024. Mary Jane Fuller served and retired as a District Magistrate in Erie County, PA. She was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Union City, PA for over 50 years. She attended Penn State University, State College campus. During her career as a District Magistrate, Mary Jane served on many social service committees and councils, including Children’s Services of Erie County. She also served as the first woman President of the Special Court Judges Association of Pennsylvania. Following her retirement, Mary Jane and her beloved husband of 72 years, James Robert Fuller, moved to South Carolina, where they enjoyed living in the warm climate and exploring the natural and cultural beauty of the south. They attended St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Columbia, SC and were volunteers at the Columbia VA Medical Center. Mary Jane also volunteered at the Palmetto Richland Heart Center in Columbia. She was an avid reader and loved to garden, travel and bake. The joy of her life was spending time with her husband, family, friends and beloved pets. She will be remembered as a devoted wife and mother who fiercely loved her family, a strong proponent of children’s well-being, and an admired, respected member of her community. Mary Jane is survived by four sons: Larry Fuller of Southport, NC, Kevin Fuller of Erie, PA, Jay Fuller of Hanover, PA, and John Fuller of Myerstown, PA, and two daughters, Susan Still of Northfield, VT and Kathy Brown of Columbia, SC, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and other extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, her parents, Sarah and Nicholas Cavalier, her sister, Sally Lee, her brothers, Anthony, James, Joseph and Paul Cavalier, her son, Gary Fuller, daughter, Jeanne Habert, and granddaughters: Jennifer Mongera, Lorena Fuller and Jana Fuller. A memorial service for Mary Jane was held at the Chapel of the Presbyterian Community of South Carolina in Lexington, SC on April 13, 2024. A memorial service and interment for both Mary Jane and Jim will be held on May 18, 2024, 10:00 AM at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, 38238 Mt. Pleasant Rd, Union City, PA.
