Wilbraham- Henry Valentino Zanetti, 96, passed into eternal life February 11, 2022 at the Soldiers' Home in Holyoke. He was born on November 10, 1925 in Lee, MA to the late Bortolo and Leonilda (Adamoli) Zanetti. Henry proudly served his country in the US Army as a SSGT during WWII 1944-1946. After serving his country, he continued his education at Holy Cross, earned his Masters in education from Springfield College, then served his community as a teacher for almost 30 years. After 63 beautiful years of marriage, Henry's wife Dorothea (Anetzberger) Zanetti passed away in 2019. They settled in WIlbraham in 1958 where they raised their family and called Wilbraham home for the past 60 years. Henry was a devoted Catholic, Eucharistic minister, and a member of St. Cecilia's in Wilbraham and Christ the King in Ludlow. He was an avid gardener who loved to swim, take trips to the beach, and spend time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by his children, Mary Klicka and husband Michael, Ann Zanetti, Regina Zanetti and husband Richard Greene, and Dottie Sidlo. He also leaves 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on February 26, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in St Cecilia’s Church in Wilbraham, MA. His burial will be private at the convenience of the family. His family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Holyoke Soldiers' Home, 110 Cherry St. Holyoke. Guests are requested to wear a mask.
