Ruth Nancy Cummings, 90, of Eastover, South Carolina (formerly from Waterbury, Connecticut) passed away peacefully on October 14, 2019 at Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina. She was born on July 5, 1929 in Waterbury, Connecticut to the late Albert and Grace (Rock) Kilborn. Ruth is survived by her son and his wife, Robert (Bob) E. Cummings Jr., and Denise A. Cummings of Eastover, South Carolina, her daughter Deborah G. Cummings of Washington and her son Albert K. Cummings of Connecticut. She will also be missed by her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends in South Carolina, Washington, and Connecticut. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Cummings Sr., of Waterbury, Connecticut, her sisters Margaret and Shirley; and her brothers Albert Kilborn and Ralph Bradley, all of Connecticut. A private Memorial will be held at the South Carolina Cremation Society. Condolences may be sent to the immediate family via her son Robert’s home at 1011 Sherlock Lane, Eastover, SC 29044.
