Philip Joseph Cauley
June 12th, 1945 - January 24th, 2023
Palmer - Philip J. Cauley, 77, passed away on January 24, 2023, at Baystate Medical Center. He was born on June 12, 1945, in Springfield, MA to Patrick and Eileen (McGarry) Cauley. He was raised in E. Longmeadow and lived in Monson for a few years before moving to Palmer where he lived for the past 40 years. Philip proudly served his country in the US Navy during Vietnam. He was a member of the American Legion E. Longmeadow Post 0293. Philip retired after working for 40 years as lumber salesman for Home Lumber in E. Longmeadow. Philip enjoyed the outdoors, he loved to go fishing and hunting with friends and traveling to Florida with his wife. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 35 years, Jean (McLean) Cauley of Palmer and three children, Patrick Cauley and his wife Karen of SC, Tracy Ricko of Palmer and Shannon Brosseau and husband Eric of Somers, CT. He also leaves his sisters, Patricia Gebo of E. Longmeadow, Margaret "Peggy" Cauley of Westfield and Nancy Cauley of S. Hadley, as well as grandchildren, Rikki Ann and husband TJ Boudreau of Chicopee, Collin Brosseau of Somers, CT, Parker Cauley of SC, and great granddaughter, Lydia Boudreau of Chicopee. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased in death by his brother, John Cauley. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, Jan. 29th from 4:00-6:00 pm at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Wounded Warriors,https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org
