Joseph A. Bates, Jr

Clearwater, FL and Palmer, MA-Joseph A. "Joey" Bates, Jr, 62, passed away March 16, 2024 after a short illness. Born in Palmer on March 4, 1962, he was the son of Carol (Coache) Lagimoniere and the late Joseph Bates. Joey grew up in Palmer with his family and has lived in Florida for over 30 years. Anything to do with cars, working on them, driving them, and admiring them brought Joey much enjoyment. He will be missed by his mother, Carol Lagimoniere of Palmer along with his siblings, Ann Bechard and husband, Garrett of Palmer, Jon Bates and wife, Pamela of Monson, and Troy Lagmoniere and wife Kristy of Palmer. Joey was predeceased by his Dad Wayne Lagimoniere. He leaves his nieces and nephews; Nicolas, Chloe, Camron, Austin, and Greenly, great nephew Gabriel, great niece Gianna as well as all his wonderful friends in Florida including Kevin, Chipper and Al as well aunts and cousins. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 10 at 10am-11am at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home with a prayer service to begin at 11 a.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joey's memory to the American Lung Cancer Association at lung.org
