Thomas "Tom" H. Johnson, 75, of West Columbia, South Carolina passed away January 3, 2021 at his home in West Columbia, South Carolina. He was born on May 14, 1945 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Thomas Hilton and Margaret Ellen (Hale) Johnson. Tom worked at the VA Regional Office for 32 years until his retirement in 2013. Thomas is survived by his wife of 42 years, Margaret "Maggie", a son and daughter in law, Daniel and Rebecca Johnson, Daughter and son in law, Emily and Seth Futral. Tom has two beautiful grandsons, Asher and Liam Johnson. He also leaves behind a sister, Sue Ellen Williams in West Palm Beach Florida. A memorial service will be at Northside Baptist Church, 4347 Sunset Blvd, Lexington, SC 29072 on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 3:00 PM. Family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be made to the National Alliance for Mental Illness, 4301 Wilson Blvd., Suite 300, Arlington, VA 22203, Northside Baptist Church, or to the charity of one's choice.
