Beers and Story - South Hadley
John P. Hart, Jr.
April 14th, 1992 - August 1st, 2020
John Hart, 28, of South Hadley, passed away at home Aug. 1. He was the son of John and Rosemary (nee Rogers) Hart and brother to Anna Hart. Born in Holyoke April 14, 1992, he was raised in South Hadley. He graduated from South Hadley High School where he participated in team sports. He earned certificates as a certified nursing assistant, phlebotomy and electrocardiogram at Salter College. He planned to return to school this fall in pursuit of his ultimate goal of becoming a scientific researcher. A kind soul, John went out of his way to help others, which led him to the medical field. Smart and funny, he made people feel welcomed and put them at ease. John was a talented musician who played electric and acoustic guitar, bass, drums, piano, trumpet and most recently teaching himself violin. He enjoyed cooking and creating new recipes for his family and friends to sample. He was artistic and enjoyed forging and handcrafting items from scratch. He collected gems and stones, often incorporating them into jewelry, including religious tokens he gave as gifts to friends and family. John was blessed with wisdom beyond his years and possessed a quiet confidence. His humor, warmth and kind soul will be missed by all who knew him, especially his loving parents, John and Rosemary and beloved sister, Anna, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A public visitation will be held Aug. 12 from 4 – 7 p.m. at Beers & Story Funeral Home, 646 Newton St in South Hadley. Funeral Mass will be private and at the convenience of the family. The family invites you to join them for John's Rites of Committal at Evergreen Cemetery, Hadley St. in South Hadley, Thursday, August 13 beginning at 11:15am. We kindly remind all attendees to please wear a mask and maintain social distancing. Donations may be made to a scholarship fund created in John’s name with Boys and Girls Club of Greater Holyoke, 70 Nick Cosmos Way, Holyoke, MA 01040.
