Jeanne A. (Poudrier) Gendron

Jeanne A. (Poudrier)Gendron passed into eternal life on September 21, 2020, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of Oneil and Amanda Poudrier. She was pre-deceased by her husband Leonard Gendron and son Daniel Gendron. She was a loving sister to twelve siblings, of which five are predeceased. She is survived by her children; Karen Gendron and Christopher Gilgun of Uxbridge, MA, Laurie and John Kelley of Norwood, MA, Sandra and Robert Leese of South Hadley, MA and James and Christine Gendron of Feeding Hills, MA, along with ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was a communicant of Ste. Rose de Lima and an active member of Chicopee Council on Aging, where she was a travel planner and also volunteered to assist seniors with their taxes. She will be remembered for her love of annual family gatherings on holidays, at Hampton Beach and also Hawley, MA. She loved challenging her family to games of Rummikub and Pitch. Jeanne was the heart and soul of her family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her loved ones and she will be greatly missed. Calling hours will be held on Saturday September 26th from 8:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home, followed by a Funeral Mass at Ste. Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee at 11:30 A.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ste. Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee.
