Barbara "Bobbi Lynn" Lanelle Kelly

Barbara Lanelle Kelly (Bobbi Lynn) entered into rest June 11, 2021. She was born June 12, 1947 in Savannah Georgia and lived most of her life in Augusta, Ga and Columbia, SC. She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Kelly Fifield (Rob Fifield), sons Ian Passmore (Dayna Passmore) and Erik Concoby; grandchildren, Ethan and Brena Passmore; sister Betty Brown and brothers Terry and John Futch. Bobbi began a fifty plus year singing career at a very early age. She sang in school plays/musicals as a little girl and began singing in night clubs as a teenager. As a professional entertainer, Bobbi Lynn traveled all over the country and throughout Europe entertaining thousands. She loved entertaining the troops most and sang at military bases all over the Southeast! Over the course of many years, Bobbi won many talent contests, released hit records and enjoyed local and regional popularity. After retiring from her singing career, Bobbi enjoyed various jobs, hobbies and spending time with family and friends. She loved to cook and clean and took great pride in doing so for loved ones. No one could make biscuits like hers! She also loved spoiling the dogs she had over the years; Snowball, Sugar, Wolf, Bubba, Murphy, Baby and Luci Bell! Those who called her Mama, Nana, Nana Bobbi, Aunt Bobbi, Ms. Bobbi or Bobbi Lynn, remember her bigger than life personality even though she came in a small package. She made everyone feel special with her southern charm and authentic kindness. But, if you needed to be put in your place, she could do that too with a style of her own. Bobbi was loved by everyone that knew her and will be missed greatly. We hold her in our hearts now and forever. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Sunday July 25, 2021 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at 228 Sheringham Road, Columbia, SC We look forward to seeing those who can attend.
