Susana Vargas-Pett

Susana Vargas-Pett, 54, died August 4, 2011 in Fairfax, Virginia. She was born to the late Flora G. Oliva and Andrés A. Vargas on August 7, 1957, in La Paz, Bolivia. Susana earned two Associates degrees from Northern Virginia Community College. She married Samuel Pett in 1997. Susana dedicated herself to the well-being of others. She worked at the Law Offices of Romney Wright, at Legal Services of Northern Virginia, at INOVA Fairfax Hospital as a Respiratory Therapist, and in the Fairfax County Public School system as a parent liaison and Spanish language interpreter. Susana expressed her abundant creativity through sewing, crafting ceramics, and beading necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. She was an artist, mother, sister, wife, and good friend to many. She is survived by her two lovely daughters Abigail and Samantha. A memorial service will be held at St. James Catholic Church in Falls Church, Virginia, at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2011. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
