Wendy Daniels Koontz, age 40, died peacefully on March 29, 2018 in Arlington, VA after a two and half year battle with brain cancer. Wendy leaves behind her adored children, Piper and Charlie, and her loving husband, Robert Koontz (Arlington, VA), her father and mother, William and Annie Daniels (Leesburg, FL), her brother and sister-in-law, Chad and Rosalie Daniels (Leesburg, FL), as well as nephews, Lincoln and Kannon, and many friends. Wendy was born on December 27, 1977 in Leesburg, FL. She graduated from Leesburg High School in 1996 and University of Florida in 2000 with a degree in Economics. After college, Wendy moved to Charlotte, NC where she worked for Wachovia Securities. While in North Carolina, she met her husband, Robert, whom she later married. In 2008, Robert and Wendy moved to Arlington, VA where their two children, Piper and Charlie, were born. Wendy loved her family and her dog, Ellie. She had a passion for music, photography, football, karaoke, book club, wine, yoga and spending time with her family and friends. Wendy ‘s funny wit and fierce loyalty will be missed by all. A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, April 3, at Advent Funeral and Cremation Services from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. A funeral memorial is scheduled for eleven am on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at St. Ann Roman Catholic Church in Arlington, VA. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Wendy’s life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital and National Brain Tumor Society.
