Robert "Bob" Lee Park
August 8th, 1962 - July 29th, 2020
Robert Lee Park, born August 8th, 1962, passed away July 29th, 2020. Bob was born in Long Beach, CA to Dannie Lee Park, who preceeded him in death, and Vicki Lynn. Bob was raised in Canby and Detroit Lake by Dannie and Toni Park. After moving to Portland, Bob married Lisa Parks in 1982 and had his only son, Robby. Bob worked in many auto body shops around town, getting experience and gaining life long friends along the way. Bob always had a passion for muscle cars. Bob met his future wife, Jeannie, in 1990; and in 1995 she made him marry her with little resistance. They welcomed a daughter, Alyssa Sue in 1996. After having started a successful shop, Ground Level, in the 80's, Bob wanted to do it again. Superior Performance was started in 1996 in his garage and grew to be one of the largest auto collision shops in Portland. He personally restored hundreds of muscle cars for other people to enjoy, while owning a few of his own along the way. Winning awards, attending swap meets, Bob had the knowledge and was willing to share his love of cars with all. Bob also enjoyed time with his friends, riding quads and 2x2's in the sand and forest, camping, boating and driving fast! Recently he sold his business and was enjoying semi-retirement, because he'd never stop working on cars. He had finished a complete remodel and landscaping of his new home that he is very proud of in Warren, Oregon. Survivors include his wife,Jeannie Park(Newell); his son, Robert Park Jr.; his daughter, Alyssa Jones(Park), Andy Jones; his om, Toni Park; his sister, Shannon Waddle(Park) & her husband, John; his brother, David Park & his wife, Jennifer; his nieces, Rachelle Jarman(Waddle) & her husband, Clay, Candice Park ; and his nephew, Justin Park. Other close family include, Aunt Carol, Uncle Ray, John, Ron & Renee, Kim & Joseph and all of their awesome kids that Bob considered immediate family. A celebration/cruise for this great dude will be held on August 15th, 2020. A hot rod/classics cruise will assemble at Pro Auto Diesel in Scappoose at 5pm. The Cruise will conclude at the Warren Baptist Church. The Celebration will be at Park residence directly across the street, 6pm.(34810 Church Rd. Warren, Oregon)
