Patricia "Patti" Skinner

Patricia “Patti” Skinner On November 5, 2016, after a long illness, our dearest daughter, sister, and friend passed away peacefully at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. Perhaps Patti’s birth in New Delhi, India, gave rise to her love of international travel and her life-long love of England. An avid reader and excellent editor, she expressed her thoughts and feelings eloquently, particularly with her outpouring of love and care for others. Patti received a Bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing from George Mason University and a Master’s degree in Humanities from Marymount University. Some of Patti’s favorite things: knitting, classical music, opera, roses, afternoon tea, and animals, ranging from the Tibetan snow leopard to her own kitty cats, all of which she handled from her wheelchair since a serious accident in 2001. A resident of Annandale, VA, she is survived by her father Kiernan, her sisters Elizabeth and Moira, her brother-in-law Peter, her nephew Jasper, her niece Ella, and her aunt Mary Collins. Her mother Dolores and aunt Lorraine predeceased her.
