Miyoko "Miyo" Martha Adams

Miyoko “Miyo” Martha Adams was born on October 11, 1930 in Tokyo, Japan. She passed away on July 28th at the age of 84 after a brief illness. Ms. Adams, formerly Miyoko Kanbe, married Paul L. Adams, then a Sergeant in the Air Force, in 1950 in Tokyo, Japan. They subsequently moved to the United States, spent several tours in the Midwest and eventually settled in Rockville, MD. Ms. Adams lived in Rockville for over forty years. Ms. Adams and Mr. Adams divorced in the 1980’s. She retired to Leisure World in Silver Spring, MD in the late 1990’s. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Tarasek, her grandchildren Malia and Douglas Tarasek and siblings Sakiko Naganuma, Kazuko Kanbe and Akira Kanbe in Japan.
