Viola Diaz Baez

Viola Diaz Baez, peacefully returned to the arms of her loving husband, Luis Baez on January 4, 2016. She wanted nothing more than to be with him for eternity. Born around 1925 in Barahona, Dominican Republic, she grew up in Puerto Rico where she became a proud, naturalized American citizen. She made a loving home for her family: her husband, their friends, their two children, (Luis, Jr, and Socorrito), their friends, and later their spouses, (Andrea Yannone and David Page), and her granddaughters, (Lara, Erin, and Shannon). Her Catholic faith was strong, and she valued education. She was proud of her family’s accomplishments. Her remains will be joined with her husband, Luis at Arlington National Cemetery. Thank you all for your prayers and support while she was with us. We are grateful. Funeral rites and inurnment ceremony will be posted when we receive the dates from Arlington National Cemetery.
