Michael “Mick” Lloyd 73, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May, 28, 2024. He was born in Worksop, England to the late Winson and Vera Lloyd. He worked as a mining engineer for over 50 years before his retirement in 2016. Mick was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie Lloyd.
Survivors include his daughters, Becky Nelson and husband Thomas and Mercedes Lloyd; grandchildren, Micah, Grace, and Tyra; sister, Jean Holmes and husband Alan; his bff’s, Tucker and Kemba; along with several nieces, nephews, and host of friends.
A celebration of life service will be conducted at 1pm on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport. The family will receive friends following the service. Those wishing to attend are sked to arrive by 12:50 pm.
