Ruby M Casper

Ruby M. Casper, 95, passed away December 24, 2018. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday December 27, 2018 at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel, officiated by Reverend A.B. Carter. Inturnment will follow at Deep River Friends Meeting Cemetery. Ruby was born May 10, 1923 to the late John O. Meris and Belle Starbuck Meris in Guilford County. She was married to the love of her life, Rufus Calvin Casper, for over 52 years until his death in 1999. Ruby was strong willed and was known to take care and help raise many of her extended family. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by, sisters; Florence, Alma, Stacey, Rowella, and Treva; brothers, George, Ralto, Cleveland, and Frank; and great-grandson, Wesley. Survivors include, daughter; Gail Bledsoe and Jerry; sons, John Casper and Paige, and Kenny Casper and Vickie; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, and many extended family, friends, and caregivers.
