March 4th, 1934 - May 29th, 2019
Bobby R. Wooten, 85, formerly of Walkertown, NC passed away peacefully Wednesday May 29, 2019. Graveside Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held at Oaklawn Memorial Park, 3250 High Point Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27107 on Friday May 31, 2019 at 11:00AM with Dr. Gus Thomas officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday at the cemetery from 10:30AM to 11:00AM. A native of Forsyth County, Bobby enjoyed a 59 year marriage to Lois Sharpe Wooten. He was the son of the late Dennis Claude Wooten and Ada Rebecca Flynn Wooten. Bobby was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from Reynolds American following a 35 year employment. Bobby enjoyed restoring classic and antique cars and for many years was a member of the local A Model Club. Survivors include his wife, Lois of the home; several nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins in Western, NC and Virginia.
