Frances Thomasson DuBois, 88, went home to be with her loving husband Henry, and her Lord and Savior on June 14, 2019. Funeral Services will be held 2:00PM Monday June 17, 2019 at Parkview Baptist Church in Morehead City with Rev. Michael Fields officiating. The family will visit with friends from 4:00PM until 6:00PM Saturday at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home in Kernersville and from 1:00PM until time for the service Monday at the church in Morehead City. Frances was a native of Orange County and was the daughter of the late Lucy Williams and Ersell Thomasson. In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-one years, Henry Clay Dubois; and brothers, James Thomasson and Carl Thomasson. Frances lived in Burlington for most of her adult life where she worked at Western Electric, now AT&T. She retired, and with her husband, moved to Morehead City in 1982. She loved to go out in the ocean fishing for Spanish Mackeral and Blues, along with flounder gigging and shrimp fishing. She got her teachers license in Ceramics and won numerous Blue Ribbons for her artistry. She made Christmas ornaments, with her daughter Debbie, to present friends and family. Frances was an extremely talented individual and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her daughter, Deborah Maurer and Bill of Kernersville; brother, Willie Thomasson and Margie of Greensboro; step-daughter, Patricia Bell of Durham; two step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
