August 16th, 1952 - December 27th, 2020
Michael Blane “Mike” Peterson, 68, of Kernersville, NC passed away peacefully Sunday, December 27, 2020. The family will greet friends with a walk-through visitation from 1:00PM to 2:00PM Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Kernersville Chapel. He was born in Fort Knox, KY, while most of his adult life he lived in Columbus County, NC. The past ten years he lived in the Triangle and Triad region of the State. Mike was the husband of Gail Ruth Peterson for almost 10 years, and was the son of the late Donald Brown Peterson, Sr. and Patty Jean Morris Peterson. Survivors include his wife, Gail; a sister, Edie; two brothers, Jeff and Dennis; five step daughters, Lisa, Brandy, Deanna from a previous marriage, a step son, Alan, and Amy and Michelle from his marriage to Gail. He also leaves behind eleven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his brother, Bud; and sisters, Sandra, Janet and Donna.
