Kecia Michelle Brooks
December 6th, 1970 - December 26th, 2020
Kecia Michelle Brooks completed her journey to Heaven and heard her Lord and Savior say “Well Done” on Saturday, December 26, 2020 after a brief illness. She is survived by her daughter, Journey Elizabeth Brooks; her parents, Gary and Vanna Brooks; her sister, Kelly Marie Brooks; her nephew, Kyle Matthew Brooks; and her niece, Kelsey Jordan Groce. Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Bill and Inez Beck, and Melvin and Verna Brooks. Kecia has many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and coworkers who are also going to miss Kecia’s love, friendship, selfless acts of compassion and kindness. Kecia was a graduate of South Stokes High School and was graduated from High Point University. While in college she was hired as a Teller with the Sara Lee Credit Union. She later joined Carolina Federal Credit Union which later became Vizo Financial Corporate Credit Union and has been employed there since July 1998. Kecia lived her life based on Mark, Chapter 12, VS’s 30 and 31. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength” and the second “Love your neighbor as yourself.” In lieu of flowers, Kecia had established an Educational Fund for Journey at Pinnacle Financial Partners. A memorial service for Kecia will be scheduled in the Spring of 2021, as weather and health conditions allow.
