Memorial

Ms. Bobbie Jean Davenport was born in Troup, Texas to Leroy Anderson and Allece Gray. Bobbie gave her life to Christ at an early age and sang in the choir. She was a member of Sims Chapel in Carrollton, Texas. She later attended Heritage Christian Center. She leaves to cherish her memory, one sister Linda Johnson, Dallas, Texas; two daughters Barbara Simpson, Carrollton, Texas, Marie Davenport, Carrollton, Texas, one son David Davenport, Aurora, Colorado; four grandchildren Daniel, Cortne, Bryan, Monet; one great grandchild Britnie and a host of other relatives and friends. Psalm 23 The lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in paths of righeousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. I’m Free Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free, I’m following the path God laid for me, I took His hand when I heard Him call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day to laugh, to love, to work or play, Tasks left undone must stay that way. I found that place at the close of the day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy, a friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Ah yes, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life’s been full, I savored much, Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, don’t lengthen it with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me, God wanted me now, He set me free.
