Mary "Jodi" Jo Hill

Mary "Jodi" Jo Hill, 69, of Kernersville passed away on April 19, 2023 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Mark and Margaret Caniff, Sr. and wife of Samuel "Jason" Hill, Sr. . Jodi was a devoted wife, mother, mamaw, and friend loved by all. Jodi is survived by her loving husband, Mr. Samuel Jason Hill Sr. , her children, Brenda Beasley and husband, Arnold, Donita Hammond and fiance, Steve Neumann, and Mr. Samuel Jason Hill Jr. and wife, Lisa; her grandchildren, Allison Mundt and husband, Jake, Ashlyn Beasley, Daniel Hammond, Ashley Salazar and husband, Alfredo, and Amber Hill and fiance, Kenneth Chapman; her great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Pittman, Tucker Hammond, and Diego Salazar; her sister, Rita Hatfield and husband, John; her special cousin, Carolyn Caskey; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Mark Caniff, Jr. and Richard Caniff. The family will receive friends at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Service - Kernersville Chapel, 213 W. Mountain Street, Kernersville NC 27284 on Sunday, April 23, 2023 from 1:00PM - 2:00PM. Funeral services will begin at 2:00PM on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Service - Kernersville Chapel with Pastor Josh Tufte officiating. Family will receive visitors after the service at the home of Jodi's sister, Rita Hatfield, 5008 Natalie Temple Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27105.
