Biography Kernersville- Bernice K. Roberson, 82, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Thursday May 12, 2011. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 3:00PM Sunday May 15, 2011 at Morris Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Autrey officiating. Interment will be held 12:00PM on Monday at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. She was the daughter of the late Leva Lucille Dean and Gothard Orlando Kirkman. Bernice was a member of Morris Chapel United Methodist Church in Walkertown for over 60 years. In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Roberson; sister, Dot Vance; brothers, Grady Kirkman, Wade Kirkman, Bob Kirkman, and Ralph Kirkman. Her constant smile and warm generous spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her daughter Jane R. Roberts of Kernersville; son, James A. Roberson, Jr. of Kernersville; grandchildren, Tina McDonald, Bryan Roberson, and Angela Roberson; one great-grandson, Jordan Williamson; sisters, Lucille Barrow, Carol Hobson, and Betty Idol. The family will visit with friends from 5:30-8PM Saturday evening at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home.
