Martha Helen Hewett Joyner, 86, went home to be with the Lord June 22, 2016 in Hilton Head Island, SC, where she had lived for the past four years. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 12:00PM Noon Monday June 27, 2016 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel with Dr. Stephen Martin officiating. She will be buried beside of her late husband S. Roy Joyner in Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. Helen was the daughter of the late Sallie Prince and Starling Hewett. In addition to her husband, and her parents, she also was preceded in death by her brothers Howard Hewett and James Hewett. She had lived most of her life in Kernersville prior to moving to Hilton Head. She was a longtime member of Kernersville First Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter Ann Fulton and Terry of Frostproof, Florida; son Gary Joyner and Kathy of Hilton Head; grandchildren Mackenzie Joyner of Hilton Head, Lisa Richter and James of Walnut Cove, and Lynn Fulton of Land O’Lakes, FL; great-grandchildren Laura Braithwaite and Sterling of Winston-Salem, and Anna Richter of Walnut Cove; and brother Buck Hewett and Pat of Kernersville. The family will visit with friends from 11:00AM Monday until time for the service at the funeral home.
