Wendell Oliver Watson
February 28th, 1942 - March 9th, 2016
Wendell Oliver Watson, 74, went home to be with the Lord March 9, 2016. Memorial Services celebrating his life will be held 2:00PM Sunday March 13, 2016 at First Presbyterian Church in Kernersville where he was an active and longtime member. He was involved with the Egg Ministry and served on various committees. He was a very kind and generous man toward all who knew him. Wendell served his country in the United States Army. He loved country music, animals - especially his donkey, "Barney" and his beloved dog, "Peaches". He loved the outdoors, hiking and walking trails. Wendell was born in Forsyth County, a son of Guy and Meedy Watson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Sybil, brothers Richard and Lawrence, and sister Hester. Survivors include his best friend and companion of many years, Barbara Hall and her family; Ken, Michael, Deann and Jonathan Hall. Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 611 Oakhurst Street, Kernersville, NC 27284.
