Rosemary Finn MacKenzie died Tuesday March 8, 2016 at Springwood Care Center of Winston-Salem. Rosemary was born July 21, 1921 in Lewis County, New York. She was the daughter of the late Glenn A. and Kathryn B. Finn. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack in July 1992. They were married at Camp Drum, New York in June 1944. Mrs. MacKenzie graduated from Newcomb Beauty Academy in Watertown, New York in 1940. She had been employed at Christie’s Hallmark Shop in Kernersville for a number of years. Mrs. Mackenzie had been a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church since the beginning of the church. Surviving are three sons, JC MacKenzie and his wife Gayle of Winston-Salem, Paul MacKenzie and his wife Donna of High Point, and Scott MacKenzie of Kernersville; granddaughters, Mei and Maggie, daughters of JC and Gayle, and Heather Johnson and her husband Jason and Megan daughters of Paul and Donna. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church 10:00AM Tuesday March 15, 2016. The family will visit with friends beginning at 9:00AM Tuesday until time for Mass. She will be buried in Belfort, New York alongside her husband Jack at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Holy Cross Catholic Church Building Fund.
