Mark Duane Boggs passed away January 20, 2016 at his home. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel 2:00PM Saturday January 30, 2016. Family and Friends are invited to gather at Mark's childhood home located at 337 Gloria Avenue in Winston-Salem immediately following the Gathering at the Funeral Home. Mark was born in Clay County, West Virginia on February 1, 1955 to the late Ora Sampson and Paul Eugene Boggs. The family moved to Winston-Salem, North Carolina in 1962. Family members left to cherish his memory include his wife Robin Moore Boggs; sons Stephen Boggs and wife Leslie Rhoda, Thomas Boggs and wife Melina Boggs, Landon Boggs; step-daughters Tiffany Moore, Tinily Bolling and fiancé John Groves, and Summer Bauguess; sisters Gloria Pesenti, Lorraine Boggs, Beth Smith; brothers Howard Boggs, Paul Boggs, Curtis Boggs, and Rodney Boggs; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and his former spouse Margo Boggs Kakouras. Mark was a 1973 graduate of Parkland High School and enjoyed seeing high school friends at their reunions. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood carving, and traveling back home to West Virginia. Mark was also known for being the “Life of the Party” while entertaining friends at cook-outs and singing Karaoke. Mark was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
