Patrick "Pat" Charles Jacoby
December 23rd, 1959 - December 19th, 2015
Patrick “Pat” Charles Jacoby, 55, passed away unexpectedly on December 19, 2015. Sunday December 27, 2015 4:00 to 6:00 the family will visit with friends at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel, in Kernersville, NC with a short Christian Wake Service at 4:00. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Monday December 28, 2015 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kernersville, with Father Paul Dechant O.S.F.S officiating. Pat was a wonderful husband, father, brother, son and friend who enjoyed and shared a variety of interests including music, fishing and sports. Pat “Jake” was a native of Rochester, NY where he graduated from Greece Arcadia High School and was recognized as All County Soccer Goalie for 2 years. Bowling Green State University recruited him as a soccer goalie, where he was also a member of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. He received his MBA from Bryant University. Pat met his wife, Lynn Ann Ward Jacoby, while both worked at Grossman’s Inc. in Boston, MA. Pat and Lynn moved to Oak Ridge, NC from Shirley, MA in 2000. He worked as an IT Senior Manager at Sara Lee/HanesBrands, in Winston-Salem, NC. As a father he was involved in Kernersville Soccer Association, Piedmont Triad Football Club and Oak Ridge Youth Association, where he spent countless hours coaching and serving in board positions. He was also a Board Member of the Oak Ridge Swim Club for the last four years and a member for 15 years. Pat is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Lynn Ann Jacoby; children Peter Frederick Jacoby, Nicholas Robert Jacoby and Claire Marie Jacoby. He is also survived by his parents Mr and Mrs Frederick Jacoby of California; sister Kimberly Jacoby Kaplan and husband Michael of California; brothers Michael Jacoby of California and Terry Jacoby and wife Wendy of Michigan; Uncle Ed Kimmel and wife Jean of Pennsylvania; and a host of extended family and friends.
