Aaron "Chick" Brice Wilson
April 24th, 1928 - November 18th, 2015
Aaron B. “Chick” Wilson, 87, went to be with the Lord Wednesday November 18, 2015. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be 11:00AM Tuesday November 24, 2015 at Beacon of Grace Church in Walkertown. Burial will immediately follow the services at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown, with military honors. Family and friends will gather after the services in the fellowship hall of Beacon of Grace Church. He was born in Iredell County on April 24, 1928 to the late Glena Ree Millsaps and James Alexander Wilson. Chick was a veteran of World War II and served in Korea. He was awarded medals of Victory and Army of Occupation-Japan. Upon his return from service he married his wife of 62 years the late Emma Jane Smith. He worked as a truck driver for over 20 years. He started Valleydale Mobile Home Estates from the ground up which he owned and managed for the entirety of his life. Chick found great pleasure in farming and bulldozing. Although his greatest pleasure was taking church youth camping and enjoying the outdoors around the lake he created. He was a lifelong member of Beacon of Grace Church in Walkertown. We wish to give special thanks to his caretakers with Kernersville Primary Care, Home Instead, Bayada Home Health and Hospice and Palliative Care, and other close family members. He is survived by his older brother Robert “Bob” Wilson and wife Norma of Kernersville. There will be a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00PM Monday at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to Beacon of Grace Church, 4700 New Walkertown Road, Walkertown, NC 27051.
