August 18th, 1927 - February 25th, 2015
Colfax-Maxine Whitehead Wallace, 87, went to be with the Lord February 25, 2015. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held at 12:00PM Monday March 2, 2015 at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel. Interment will follow in Westminster Gardens in Greensboro. A native of Chatham County, Maxine was the wife of the late William Emerson Wallace. She was retired from J.P. Stevens in High Point. She was a longtime member of Main Street United Methodist Church. She was dedicated to her faith, church, and family. She also was an avid gardener. In addition to her parents and husband, she also was preceded in death by her daughter Martha Troutman Warwick, her son John Wrenn Troutman, and a sister Martha Rachel Whitehead. Survivors include her grandson Wrenn Cox and Jessica of Chesterfield, VA; and her son-in-law George Warwick of Wilmington. The family will visit with friends starting at 11:30AM Monday at the funeral home.
