Kernersville-Drake Brown, 17, went home to be with the Lord November 22, 2014. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held 3:00PM Wednesday November 26, 2014 at First Christian Church. Interment will follow in Mt. Gur Cemetery. Drake was a senior at East Forsyth High School. He had played soccer for a number of years with the Kernersville Soccer Association. He had been working with Papa Johns Pizza for the last several months. Drake was an avid sports fan and always enjoyed the thrill of competition. The family that survives him includes his mother Brooke Becker of Kernersville; sister Katelyn Coburn of Kernersville; maternal grandmother Sallie Coburn of Kernersville; maternal great-grandfather Luther Graham of Kentucky; aunts Karen Edwards and Melinda Weathers; and uncle David Coburn. The family will visit with friends from 12:30PM until time for the service at the church on Wednesday.
