Peggy Walker

Kernersville-Peggy L. Walker, 82, died May 29, 2014. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held 2:00PM Sunday June 1, 2014 at Union Grove Baptist Church. Entombment will be in the Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. A native of Forsyth County, Peggy was the daughter of the late Eva Elliott and Bernie Oles Leonard. She worked for a number of years with H.E. Crawford Machine Company, and also worked at Musten-Crutchfield for many years. In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her son Tim Walker and her sister Jodell Cline. Survivors include her loving husband of 61 years Tony Walker of the home; daughters Karianne Walker and Julie Stanyard and Jon all of Kernersville; grandson Jordan Walker and Dayna of Astoria, Oregon; great-granddaughter Amelia; brother Benny Leonard and Jean of Winston-Salem; brother-in-law Don Cline; and numerous friends and extended family. The family will visit with friends from 5-7pm Saturday evening at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home and also immediately following the service at the church.
