Thompson Funeral Homes - Lexington
Charles T. Manley, Jr.
June 13th, 1959 - June 2nd, 2024
Charles Thomas Manley, Jr. (Tommy) 64, from West Columbia, South Carolina, passed away June 2, 2024. He was born on June 13, 1959 in Richland County to Charles Thomas Manley and Sherry Angela Roland (both pre-deceased). Also pre-deceased are his sister, Gwen Futrell. Surviving are his four sons, Charles Thomas Manley III (Tommy), Paul C Manley, David A Manley, and Johnathan E Manley; Gay Miller (sister); Emerson, Willow, and Arden (grandchildren); as well as nieces and nephews.
Tommy was a good soul who always left his door open to anyone, friend or family, that ever needed a place to rest. He enjoyed gardening and was especially proud of his tomato plant. He had a love for cooking and making jokes while talking to those closest to him. He enjoyed the simple things in life and loved watching his favorite shows ‘Gunsmoke’ and ‘Mash’. He was a big Clemson fan and would argue with anyone who chose the Gamecocks, especially all his sons. He was a very outspoken and funny man who will truly be missed by all who knew him. To many he was a free spirited man, and to his kids he was a legend. His legacy will live on through the lives of his loved ones and he will never be forgotten.
A small graveside service will be held Friday, June 7, 2024 at 1:00pm at Southland Memorial Gardens, located at 820 West Dunbar Rd, West Columbia, SC 29170.
