Sultana "Susie" Tahmina Garrett
November 4th, 1989 - May 31st, 2024
Sultana Tahmina Garrett, a loving and caring mother, wife, daughter, and sister unexpectedly passed on May 31, 2024, at the age of 34.
Sultana is survived by her husband, Jon Garrett; her newborn child, Junayd Sebastian; her mother, Qudsia Alimi; her father, Habib Alimi; her sister, Angela Alimi; and her brother, Harris Alimi.Sultana (Susie) was born in Greensboro, NC on November 4, 1989, to Habib and Qudsia Alimi.
She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2012 with a degree in Computer Engineering and received her Master’s in Electrical Engineering in 2014.On September 16, 2023, she married Jon, the love of her life and her other half.
On May 25, 2024, she gave birth to her son Junayd, who she was very excited to welcome into the world.
Sultana loved traveling the world and exploring different places. She was president of the Sustainability and Environmental club at her work. She also had a green thumb in not only plants and greenery, but in all of our lives. Sultana planted seeds of life and light in everyone and always grew beautiful flowers in everyone’s hearts.
She will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested a donation in her memory to Women of Afghan Women. Link is provided below.
Susie’s service will be at Beach Funeral Home, 1689 South Patrick Drive, Indian Harbour Beach, Florida on Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 3:00 – 5:00 pm with a memorial service to follow the visitation at 5:00 pm.
