Catherine "Cass" Dolores McMullen

Catherine “Cass” Dolores McMullen died on May 23, 2024, on Hilton Head Island, SC, after an extended illness. She was 90 years old.

Catherine was born in Philadelphia, PA on December 9, 1933, to her parents, Raymond and Catherine Mullen. She married David Frederick McMullen in March of 1955. They moved to Cherry Hill, NJ in 1971. After dedicating herself to raising their five children and supporting her husband’s career, upon retirement, they moved to Indigo Run in Hilton Head Island, and then relocated to The Cypress of Hilton Head in 1996.

While in Hilton Head, Catherine enjoyed spending time with new friends and the many social activities and restaurants the Island offers. She was a devout Catholic and attended St. Francis by the Sea Catholic Church. Cass and Dave were also avid travelers, taking trips all over the world. She also really enjoyed an occasional trip to the Casinos.

Catherine is survived by her husband, David F. McMullen, and her five children, son Stephen McMullen (Hillsboro, NJ), son and daughter-in-law David and Dianne McMullen (Atlanta, GA), son Michael McMullen (Bath, Maine), son and daughter-in-law Frederick and Vivian McMullen (Fairfield, CT) and daughter and son-in-law Barbara and John Grassi (Egg Harbor Township, NJ).Catherine is also survived by twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be planned for a later date.
