Scott R. Munsell

Scott Russell Munsell 40 of Pinellas Park, Florida, passed away on December 5, 2018. The service will be held at 2:30pm on December 15, 2018, at the David C. Gross Funeral Home - Clearwater Chapel, located at 830 N. Belcher Rd., Clearwater, FL 33765. Lawrence Britt will be officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 1:00pm. Scott was born in Lakenheath, England on June 17, 1978, to Kirk and Claudene (Nye) Munsell. In middle school, they moved to Lake Placid, Florida were Scott began the foundations of many of his life-long friendships. He graduated from Lake Placid High School and went on to receive a Bachelors of Science - Health Services Administration from the University of Central Florida (he would want me to say "Go Knights!"). Scott was a member of Alpha Tau Omega (ATO), where he built many more friendships that continued on until his passing. Scott went on to work in the financial services industry. To all who knew him, he was the most genuine person. He always had a smile on his face and wanted to make people laugh. No matter what adversity was thrown at him, he always kept a positive attitude and sense of humor. He will leave a void in all of the lives that he has touched. Scott married Jennel (Alexander) on May 14, 2011; they were married 7 years. In April of 2015 Scott and Jennel fostered Delilah and in turn adopted her in August of 2017. Scott loved and adored Delilah. During their time together, they had three dogs; Sam, Guido, and Rocco - they were all a part of the family. Scott was a man of many passions. While battling cancer, Scott taught himself how to cook as a way to keep himself occupied. He fell in love with cooking and continued to make some of the most unforgettable meals. Scott also had an itch for travel and adventure. He spent his early years in Europe where he traveled all over with is family. When he and Jennel married, he instilled that in her and they continued on many adventures together. He was fortunate enough to instill that in his daughter as well, taking her on some amazing trips over the last year and a half. Scott is survived by his wife, Jennel; daughter, Delilah; dogs, Guido and Rocco; parents, Kirk and Claudene (Nye) Munsell; sister, Susie Vice; uncle, Jerry Munsell; and his nieces and nephew, Cheryl Rumley, Christopher Rumley, Holly Fortner, and Rayeh Vice; plus more great-nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his in-laws - parents, Steven and Susan Alexander; sister, Angela Alexander (Christohper Lane); brother, Zachary Alexander; nephew, Brayden Alexander; nieces, October and Zoey Alexander.
