Eleanor N. Baney, 86, of St. Petersburg, passed away May 12, 2015. Eleanor was born on December 29, 1928 in Nassau County, NY She had only 1 sister Barbara Van Wet, (survived) whom married Jack Van Wet (survived) and their son, Jack Van Vliet (survived) live in Houston, Tx. Eleanor raised 2 boys, Bill Nase (deceased) and Michael Nase (survived). She worked in the real estate industry where she met and married Captain Sidney Baney, United States Navy (deceased), a cherished relationship. Her sister-in-law, Julia Baney (survived) and nephews Paul Baney (survived) and Ralph Baney (survived). Her interest were in her family, traveling, hosting holiday feast, reading, writing, participating in civic duties, member of the Bayfront Tower board, member of the St. Petersburg Yacht Club, and volunteering at local museum. She is warmly held in the memories of more than this space provides. Private services planned. David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Central Avenue Chapel in St. Petersburg is serving the family.
