Thomas Courtney 89 of St. Petersburg passed away May 1, 2015. Thomas was born in 1925 in Somerset, PA and practiced law in St. Petersburg from 1965 after moving here from Coral Gables, Florida. He received a BA degree and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami. He was a former employee of the US Dept of State and lived in China for several years. Tom was an Army Air Force veteran who served during World War II. He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth Courtney. He is survived by his step-children Robin Samuels, Richard Childs and Robert Childs. In accordance with his wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial services. David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Central Avenue Chapel in St. Petersburg is serving the family. Service Information
