John Steve Augustine

John Steve Augustine John S. Augustine, age 90, beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend to many passed away on February 1, 2021 in Lakewood Colorado. John was active in the Rocky Mountain oil and gas industry for 27 years with Conoco and Dupont and served on the Colorado Board of Accountants Board of Directors as well as other oil and gas industry related associations. John was outgoing and personable with an infectious smile and wonderful sense of humor. He was a true “people person” and made many friends easily wherever he went. John’s many friends were “life- long friends” and he always made the extra effort to visit with them on his travels to Montana, Indiana, and Colorado. John loved golf, fishing, and travel to see family and friends. He was especially fond of the horses we have in Texas and enjoyed watching us ride. He loved spending time with his great grandchildren, watching them play softball, soccer, and wrestling. John is preceded in death by his wife Eleanor R. Augustine and is survived by sons Joseph, Jack, and Steve and daughter Jean Rhyne. In lieu of flowers, contributions to ASPCA, local Humane Society, or Wounded Warrior Project would be appreciated. Services are pending due to the pandemic.
