Dr. Stephen Kobernick, 51 - beloved husband of Debbie, loving father to Alyssa and Max passed away on November 23, 2013. Stephen was the son of Ruth and Jerry Kobernick of Baltimore, brother to Jill (Sasa) and Lisa (Dennis), the son in law of Ida Schmidt Chait and Irving Chait of Baltimore, brother in law to Robert (Julie), Marty and Linda (Frank), a loving uncle to his nephews and a cherished friend to many. Stephen was born in Baltimore, graduating from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Stephen studied Dentistry at the University of Maryland and completed his residency in periodontics at the University of Alabama. Stephen and Debbie moved to St. Petersburg in 1990, and he established his periodontal practice in Clearwater. Stephen loved his family and friends unconditionally and was a well-respected member of the community. He embraced life to its fullest and will always be loved and dearly missed by his family and friends. Services will be held at Congregation B'nai Israel, 300 58th Street North, St. Petersburg on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at 12:00 Noon. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park, Largo. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: The Marfan Foundation, Bike MS or Pinellas Habitat for Humanity. Shiva minyans will be held at 5:30 PM on Sunday, Monday & Tuesday evenings at the Kobernick residence, 2227 Mermaid Point Dr. NE, St. Petersburg 33703. David C.
